For many supporters of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Zamfara, the message is simple: the outcome of the party’s primary must be respected.
Bilyaminu Shinkafi emerged from the ADC governorship votes, defeating two other aspirants. The chairman of the party’s primary election committee, Namadi Musa, subsequently declared him the winner, saying he had met the party’s requirements and the provisions of the Electoral Act.
The emergence of Bilyaminu Shinkafi on the INEC portal has therefore triggered strong reactions from ADC supporters. His opponents Vows to work vigorously for the success of the party in Zamfara come 2027.
For those backing Shinkafi , this is no longer simply a contest between Dauda Lawal but a a political struggle to salvage Zamfarans from the government of Dauda Lawal which many observers sees as being fully occupied by expatriate from Abuja , Mina and Adamawa respectively.
The Zamfara State political gladiators from both APC and PDP insist that a mandate openly won at the primary by Bilyaminu Shinkafi will indeed ends the government of Dauda Lawal which many electorate tagged as many are called but none indigenes are choosen.
Dauda Lawal who campaigned to end insecurity within 2 weeks has now derailed from his campaign blueprint only busy awarding elephants projects abandoning approximately 20,000 internally displaced person roaming the streets of Zamfara begging for survival.
