Breaking: After denying agreed N70, 000 Minimum wage to Zamfara Workers, Governor Dauda Lawal procured Fleets of Cars for personal use.

Controversy broke out between governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara State and some concerned citizens of the state , where it was alleged that governor Dauda Lawal procured 4 of BMW 7 Series Bullets proof and Mercedes Benz S CLASS amounting to roughly 3.7 billion Naira, this comes barely two Months after governor Dauda Lawal led administration delibrated refusal to implement N70, 000 Minimum wage as National policy. 

Last week, Zamfara State Civil Servants lamented the little increase in their salaries where Junior cadre got the increment of N15,000 to 16,000 while Level 14 to 16 got the increment of as little as N6,000

A source at the Zamfara State Ministry of Finance who begged for anonymity confirmed that:" The payment Voucher for the procurement of 4 no of BMW 7 Series and Mercedes Benz S Class had just left the Ministry to the office of the Secretary to the State government SSG,added that, they were warned by the State government to always forward such documents to the office of SSG to avoid leakage.

It was severally reported that governor Dauda Lawal had sacked about 3,000 workers where some of the sacked workers were apprehended by the security agents at the various Crime Scenes withing and outside the State.

Recall that governor Dauda Lawal was accused in 2024 for purchasing officials vehicles worth N5billion and his continuous blaming Federal government as an excuse to divert the State government resources through some of his Friends who he hired as the State government consultants.
