Zamfara State governor Dauda Lawal was reported last week Wednesday to go in to hiding as angry protesters stormed government House Gusau demanding to know whereabout the 20 trucks of rice send to the State by the Federal government as an assistance to share to the less privileges.
Zamfaranewsletters gathered from Gusau government insider who pleaded Annonimity that , "the 20 trucks of 25kg of rice allocated to Zamfara State by the Federal government arrived the State on Monday for onward distribution to the14 Local governments area of the State but His Excellency governor Dauda Lawal ordered that the rice should be kept in one of the government House Store," the insider said.
On hearing the arrival of the rice, the masses in their thousands stormed the government House Gusau demanding for the palliative at the time governor Dauda was presiding over the State Executive Council meeting, which according to the eye witnessed, it has to take the quick intervention of government House security forces to immediately smuggled governor Dauda Lawal out through the government House back gate to avoid the angry protesters disgrace, but no damage of government properties was reported, the governor is in good health only that he is in hiding as of the time of filling this report.
