Nigerian Navy has been Commended For Deligent Service to the Nation.

The Honourable Minister of State for Defence, Dr. Bello Mohammed Matawalle MON commended the efforts of the Nigerian Navy in defending the territorial waters of the country.
The minister was speaking shortly after gracing the Nigerian Navy Regimental Dinner Night held on
Friday, 23rd February 2024, at the Armed Forces Officers’ Mess Asokoro in Abuja.

Dr Bello matawalle said the recent interception of 15,540 litres of petrol stored in a building along Badagry creeks by the Forward Operating Base (FOB) of the Nigerian Navy in Badagry, Lagos State, was highly commendable.
He said the government of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is doing everything possible to support the military operations to effectively and efficiently convert insurgency and other forms of criminality across the country.
Dr. Matawalle said President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has very good plans to renew the hopes of Nigerians and appealed to all and Sunday to exercise patience and support the president in tackling the huge challenges the present government inherited when it took over power about seven months ago.

The Minister of State Defence on behalf of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic, also thanked all the retired Navy officers and men for diligently serving the nation and wished them happy and prosperous retired life.
The Honourable Minister was warmly received at the occasion by the Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Emmanuel I. Ogalla, who served as the Chief host for the evening. Notable amongst the dignitaries who attended the dinner included the Senate President, Distinguished Senator Godwin Akpabio CON, and the Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher G. Musa OFR, among others.

The event served as a platform to recognize and celebrate the invaluable contributions of retired officers to the Nigerian Navy and the nation at large.
