The embattled former Central Bank governor of Nigeria CBN Godwin Emefeile has mentioned Zamfara State governor Dauda Lawal Dare as one the beneficiary of Multi Million Dollars official rate scandals which resulted to Nigeria economic current sorry position, a reliable source at the Apex Bank who begged for his name to remained anonymous said that, base on the available records so far, the current Zamfara State governor Dauda Lawal Dare if not because of the immunity he's enjoying as the sitting governor, by now he should have been behind the bar as the results of economic sabotage he and his friend Godwin Emefeile caused to Nigeria and Nigerians.


The source said that his words:"Godwin Emefeile since during the presidency of Dr. Goodluck Jonathan regime has been Approving Multi Million Dollars to Mr Dauda in official rate which according to Apex Bank laws is not acceptable but who are we the junior staff to question the Apex Bank Governor directives ," the source lamented.


" In the next 8 months I will retire from the Central Bank of Nigeria after serving 35 years of service, but the truth of the matter is that the federal government should grill people like the current Zamfara governor Dauda Lawal including those like him who associated themselves with Godwin Emefeile while he was in office, by doing so Nigerian government will know their true economic saboteurs and those responsible for the Naira downfall.


The Zamfara State governor Dauda Lawal Dare on assumption of of office early this year, had declared about N3 trillion Naira in assets and cash a declaration that generates somuch debates within and outside Nigeria.
