Subsidy removal : Out of N5b paliative, Zamfara State govt distributes 900 bags of rice

Zamfara state government under the leadership of His Excellency Dauda Lawal Dare is distributing 900 bags of rice to the entire citizens of the state as palliative initiated by the government of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to reduce the pains of fuel subsidy removal. 

The distribution ceremony was conducted at Ahmadu Bello Stadium Gusau under tight security to avoid any mayhem during the distribution process.

It was alleged that out of 5 billion Naira given to each state by the Federal government to purchase grains and other essential amenities to it's citizen, Zamfara State government under the close watch of His Excellency Dauda used #40,500,000 out of N5b and purchased 900 bags of rice for the population of more than 2 million citizens of Zamfara State .

Our correspondent report that, out of the 14 local government of the State, Maru local government with the population of over 150 population got 125 bags while some got 70 bags and the remaining was shared to the political associates and relatives of Dr. Dauda Lawal the Executive governor.

Mallam Shehu who came all the way from Gummi local government area of the State said that, "We came with a Truck to get our own paliative only to be given 80 bags for the whole Local government when Borno State governor gave out one bag of rice and grain with 10,000 to each person with the same 5billion Naira given to each state by the Federal government to help it's citizens.

Another citizen of Zamfara who simply identified himself as Alh.Mu ' azu Gusau said , "the government has done what it has done, we cannot change it, so we have left everything in the hands of God. But the Federal government should note that the sharing fomular used by Zamfara State government did not favour the target beneficiaries.
