The Special Adviser on Media to the Zamfara State governor Dauda Lawal has shed more light on the controversial Council of Ulama's building located in Zamfara State government House, he further criticized and condemned in strong term for those questioning the closure of the building that is meant for Islamic Scholars research point.
" I would like the general public to note that, the government House anywhere in Nigeria is naturally build to Accommodate the governor official resident, his office and conference Halls and not for religious activities or research as speculated in various media outlet , "Jafar said.
" We have the Ministry for Religious affairs and so many research centres in the State where any one can visit to conduct any research of his or her choice but not in the government House where His Excellency is officially resides to perform State activities.
Malam Jafar revealed this during a press statement he granted in Gusau where he was asked numerous questions about the total shutdown of the newly constructed Council of Ulama's by the previous administrations which is to serve as a research centre for Islamic Scholars in the State and beyond.
