ZAMFARA CITIZENS ARE DYING IN SILENCE SINCE YOU LEFT OFFICE: An open letter to His Excellency Bello Mohammed Matawalle, the Honourable Minister of State for Defence.

Dear Honourable Minister, I will like to start this letter by stating the obvious: we are in a very grave quaencequcess and disturbing times our state Zamfara is going through since you left office barely three months ago, of course which had never happened since the end of the civil war in 1970. Some will even argue that the current tension in Zamfara State is probably more dangerous than that which led to the outbreak of the civil war in 1967 which I strongly believed many Zamfara citizens can testify to this trying morement.

Honourable Sir, Zamfara State as I had earlier said ,is under siege, not by external criminals ,but by local merchants of violence , bandits ,hearders from withing and outside Nigeria , who have now in your absence as the then governor of Zamfara found kidnapping more lucrative which resulted to taking over our forest, raping, killing, and generally displaced more than 60,000 farmers as the result of the current administration of gov. Dauda   I don't care attitudes   who is busy chasing Shadows to signify his incompetency as the Chief security of the State.

In all of this, Honourable Minister Sir, I can beat my chest to say that His Excellency President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR have made a right choice for appointing some one like you with the background of Crisis Management and Conflict resolution to pilot the affairs of Defence Ministry of state with hope to finally get rid of the criminals bandits and other National security Challenges.

On the temperature of Violence in the Country, Zamfara State with your help and quick response could still retain it's name of " Farming is our pride" at the end of the day.

This trying moment , Hon. Minister Sr, I'm afraid, could be change  but unless you rise and use your good office  swiftly to the occasion and act decisively to avert the impending calamity in our beloved State Zamfara.

In specific term, Hon. Minister, I will want to zero in on Zurmi, Shinkafi, Maru, Bukkuyum, Maradun, Tsafe, Kaura Namoda, and Talata Mafara Local government areas.

The reality today as I am writing this letter is that,  all the local governments mentioned has been taken over by the dreaded bandits immediately you left office pricesly on the 29 may 2023.

I would like also use this  chance to appeal to the Hon. Minister  that,  your Ministry should please convert Ruga settlement which you build back to Operation Forward Base of the Nigeria Army to response to any possible threat from bandits in the State.
