FORMER IGP MD ABUBAKAR IN A CORRUPTION SCANDAL, AS CONTRACTORS PETITION ICPC, EFCC.

 



The Nigeria's Anti-Graft Agencies are set to commence investigations into cases of corruption scandal involving former Inspector General of Police MD Abubakar.


The former IGP was alleged to have been involved in fraud and scandals running into billions of naira for the construction of Police Housing scheme at Karsana fct, Dei Dei Zuba fct and Kaduna state.

Investigations by our medium "ThePolice Reporters" revealed that the former IGP awarded contract for the construction of police Baracks under the Police Housing Scheme in Kaduna, but personally collected the money back from the contractors which stopped the project and subsequently abandoned.

Our reporters gathered that the former IGP MD Abubakar is also mentioned in another scandal involving billions of naira while in office. He is alleged to have collected Mansion in Asokoro from one of the contractors  as his proceeds for the projects which he now rented out at 50 million annually.

Investigations further revealed that the Retired IGP MD Abubakar built prestigious apartments at Katampe Extension that are above and over his earnings.

Similar investigations into the series of corruption scandal of the former IGP also revealed that he inflated the amount of the contract for the construction of the police Baracks at Karsana and  Dei-Dei, Abuja in which he demanded the contractors to return back the inflated amount to him for  his personal use.
