DODO MATAWALLE AND ZAMFARA’S EMERGING POLITICAL MISFITS.

The word “Dodo” in Hausa, ordinarily implies an obscure, fearful image to scare the kids the kids. When your children become irritatingly mischievous, you threaten them with the emergence of Dodo, and that will promptly call them to order. Dodo is always hidden, feared and revered all at once. The mere mentioning of its name will straighten the behaviours of cantankerous kids in every home.

In today’s political developments in Zamfara State, we are facing a growing menace of political upstarters, a menace that triggered the coalition of the wrong collectives who have, incidentally, swooped up into the scene and have spread their smelly shit all over the place for some time now.

The strategy of Bello Muhammad in politics was to look “outwards t” and then “inwards” which was seen as a good omen considering his progressively consistent approach to the game in Zamfara State. He was “outwards” because he opted, for a long time, to represent the people in Abuja and fight for their right at the Federal level. He was now “inwards” because, having done well for eight years, he thought it wise to come back and serve at home.

The non starters didn’t know that politics is a game you learn and master over time. What they think is that a fat purse in their kitty is all that’s needed to play. Now, as the naughty kids they are in Zamfara politics, they are experiencing the exact effect of the “coming” of Dodo to the cantankerous kids in the house. He is, by every inch, justifying the nickname aptly applied to him by the chain of youth in the state who saw him as the demystifying factor for the poorly organised opposition.

Yes, Dr Bello Matawalle is proving this point, inch by inch as they are now, rearing their swollen faces and coughing out their worst. They misfire. They selected their best to rubbish him; and in their bid to rubbish him, they are abusing the law and will fall into the ditch they dug because of vendetta.

It is time someone, somewhere, calls the attention of these political upstarters to come to terms with the glaring fact that the name Dodo cannot be demystified. Dodo remain the terror of the mischievous children and will always be. Matawalle remain the nightmare of political misfits rearing their heads in Zamfara politics and will continue to be so for a long time to come!
