WORLD INSTITUTE FOR PEACE SET TO HONOUR FORMER ARMY CHIEF





Honour is always done to whomever it deserves. This is why the blessed and talented Army General whose mission and vision is to secure Nigeria's territorial integrity, democracy, economy and the wellbeing of it's people has the score cards worthy of honour left, right and centre by the well meaning individuals and corporate entities, both within and outside Nigeria. General Tukur Yusuf Buratai, the army general that performed wonderfully beyond the expectations of an international standard of an Army Chief of Staff between 2015 to 27th January 2021, when he served as the Nigeria's Chief Of Army Staff. The intelligent military leader who was able to conquer the most dreaded Boko Haram insurgents and bandits tormenting the good people of Nigeria, particularly in the North east, north west and North Central, as well as some miscreants that were politically sponsored to engage in nation wide protests code named ENDSARS, that nearly truncated Nigeria's democracy.   



The no nonsense retired 3 Star Infantry army chief has been described by many of his Men and officers in the Nigeria army as the thorough disciplined General who executed his last order as the then Nigeria army chief according to international best practice standard of operation.



Lt. Gen Tukur Yusuf Buratai's tracks of record in hard work, commitment and dedication to duty have fetched him quite a lot of honours and integrity that started from January 1981 at the Nigeria Defence Academy Kaduna as a Course (29 RC) Cadet where he was given the prestigious appointment of cadet sergeant Major due to his dedication in both military, character and in learning. General Buratai who distinguished himself in whatever he does has been honoured by corporate bodies and individuals, too numerous. 



The traditional institutions also recognised General Buratai with chieftaincy titles for key the roles he played in their domains to restore peace and order where the Emir of Maradun His Royal Highness Garbage Muhammad Tambari ll Emir of Maradun in Zamfara State Conferred Buratai with title of (JARMAN MARADUN) While the Emir of Keffi in Nasarawa State honored the former army chief with the Chieftaincy title of (JARMAN KEFFI)



The world institute for peace symposium Lagos carefully selected Gen. Buratai for an award of excellence for the recognition of his professionalism and hard work as the Nigeria's former Chief of Army Staff. Buratai's dedication to Nation Peace Building and his Foundation philanthropist engagements Nationwide.



General Buratai will on 28 August 2022 be honored by the institute to dignify his performances, sacrifice, intellectualu ability mission and vision in all assignments given to him, particularly in peace and security of the Nigeria territorial and the Nation building.
