GOVERNOR MATAWALLE ORDERS RECONSTRUCTION OF SHARI’A RESEARCH COMMISSION

 Governor Bello Mohammed Matawalle (Shattiman Sokoto) has ordered for the reconstruction of the Shari’a Research and Development Commission Secretariat located at Hayin Buba Area, Gusau.

The Governor gave the directives when he was being taken round by the Chairman of the Commission Sheikh Kabiru Umar Maru, his Permanent Commissioners and the former Chairman of the Commission as well as the current Chairman of Zamfara State Zakkat and Endowment Commission Sheikh Abubakar Ibn Muhammad Sodangi.

At the library of the Commission, Governor Matawalle learned that scholars and students from Universities across the country visit the place for research works and findings which thrilled the Governor that Zamfara still maintains its status as the leading state when it comes to Shari’a and its teachings.

The Governor therefore, ordered for total reconstruction of the Commission’s Secretariat, the facility which is already dilapidated and incondusive for the contemporary research methodologies.

The Governor directed that a befitting e-Library and a conventional one be put in place with a special priority when reconstruction is done for the overall benefit of the Commission and students as scholars visit the Commission for further knowledge.

A directive was equally given by the Governor to the Secretary to Zamfara State Government Alh. Kabiru Balarabe (Sardaunan Dan Isa) to find a temporary office accommodation for the management and staff of the Commission to reside pending the completion of the new project.
