It is with a heavy heart that His Excellency received the news of the demise of his former Director of Campaign and close Associate, Alhaji Jamilu Aliyu (Zannan Gusau).

“I have always held the late Zanna in high esteem and have given him my confidence for his brilliance, honesty committment and loyalty”, Governor Matawalle recalled.
“I hereby extend my
profound condolence to His Royal Highness, Sarkin Katsinan Gusau and the loving family of the late Zanna. I seek Allah’s mercy and forgiveness on the gentle soul of my trusted Associate, the late Zanna, who has been an inspiring leader and a very enterprising politician”, Matawalle prayed.
Governor Matawalle also extends his sympathy to the entire people of Gusau Emirate and the state at large over the loss as, according to him, “the loss is ours as a whole”.
He said that at this moment, nothing passes fervent prayer for those who have lost their lives as we pray that God Almighty will give us the fortitude to bear this great loss.
