GOV MATAWALLE NAMES STATE LEGISLATURE COMPLEX AFTER LATE PDP CHAIRMAN

Governor Bello Mohammed (Matawallen Maradun) has named the state Legislature complex (under Re-construction) after the late PDP Chairman in the state, Alhaji Ibrahim Mallaha Gusau.

Governor Matwalle made the announcement when members of the state House of Assembly paid him a condolence visit at the Government House today.

He said the decision to name the complex after him is to immortalise him and further endorse his quality of Justice and fair play, not only in politics, but in all his endeavours while he lived.

"The loss of Ibrahim is a loss to justice and a loss to all of us. He was humble, just and Honourable. He was not the type to accuse anyone, but always exerting his energy to bring people together", Governor Matawalle eulogised.

He said that the sudden death of Ibrahim Mallaha is a great lesson for those who forget that their souls are not in their control but in the control of the Almighty who decides to take it away at his own wish and at his own time.

Earlier, the Speaker of the House of Assembly, Rt Honourable Nasiru Mu'azu Magarya told the Governor that the entire Legislators in the state were at the Govt House to extend their condolence over the death of their Chairman.

He said that when he lived, Late Mallaha treated them like his own children. "he took us like his own, counselled us and guided us even as we were aspiring for these positions" Magarya recalled.

He said that the House will convene a special sitting when it resumes in honour of the late, and promised that they will continue to honour his absence as legislators.

Other callers at the Government House to pay their condolence included the PDP Executive Council of Kebbi State and a special delegation from Kwatarkwashi Community.

Others included the Forum of state Executive Council, the forum of Special Advisers, the forum of Directors-General, the Government House media crew and the Protocol office of the Government House.
