The Zamfara State chapter of the All Progressives Congress APC is hereby unequivocally issuing a warning to all those who have made it traditional to attack its members or property especially when the party is organizing or carrying out an activity in the state.
This warning has become critically pertinent as the police in the state seem to have abandoned us to our fate having paid no attention to our several complaints and officially written three petitions to them over such attacks, giving us the impression that the state Police Command is complicit in the matter.
This warning is coming on the heels of what suspected PDP thugs along with their Yansakai, attacked attendees to the grand finale of the official commissioning of Constituency projects executed by the House of Representatives member representing Maru/Bungudu in the National Assembly, Hon. Abdulmalik Zubairu Bungudu for the benefit of his constituents and the state in general.
The criminals openly and strategically stationed themselves along Gusau/Bungudu road to perpetrate the attack which led to the destruction of many vehicles and wounding of the occupants simply because they are APC members.
The Zamfara State chapter of the APC therefore wishes to totally condemn the attack, implore the police and other security agencies to immediately swing into action by arresting the perpetrators and bringing them to face the consequences of their actions or we will henceforth be forced to defend ourselves against anyone or group that charges against any of our members or property.
We urge our members to remain patient as the party will ensure justice is done to all those attacked and those who sustained injuries or had their properties destroyed.
As peace loving party we would not be party to heating the state polity as planned by the PDP led administration.
