UNTIL YOU COOPERATE WITH THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT AND THE SECURITY OPERATIVES, YOU WILL NOT BE SUCCESSFUL IN THE WAR AGAINST BANDITRY - SEN YARIMA TOLD GOV LAWAL OF ZAMFARA.

A former Zamfara Gov, Sen Ahmed Sani Yariman Bakura, has warned Gov Dauda Lawal Dare of Zamfara state to join forces with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's administration to decisively deal with armed banditryZamfara state.

The former governor who is also a three time Senator in the national assembly was reacting to the utrances of Gov Dauda against the minister of state for defence Bello Matawalle after he became successful in coordinating the military onslaught operations against the dreaded bandits in the north-west region.

Yariman Bakura, who was a two terms c

first civilian governor of Zamfara state cautioned the Zamfara Gov to henceforth desist from such behaviour which he was out of the present day political civilization and humanity.

He said each governor inherits assets and liability but builds from where his predecessor stops.

" Government is a continuous process. Once you come, you must go and someone takes from you.

" The political squabble between governor Dauda Lawal and his predecessor Bello Matawalle now minister of state for defence is long overdue.

" The media war between the two leaders would have been put aside and face other challenges bedeveling the state, particularly the security of lives and property of the people of Zamfara state.

" The Gov should have used the opportunity provided by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu when he appointed Bello Matawalle as minister of state for defence and now delegated him to coordinate the war against banditry in the region which provides ample chances for the Gov to over come the security challenges bedeveling the state. "

He therefore urged the Gov to sheath his sword to alliw peace to reign for the development of the state

He said that as one of the political leaders and elderstamen, he is ready to join forces with the Gov to look into the problems facing the state rather than focusing on the fight against the minister.

He said he knew Matawalle as a simple gentleman of the highest order who is always ready to listen to advice and support whatever ways that will bring peace and harmony in the state.
