Sen Sahabi Ya'u Kaura, the s
Senator Representing Zamfara North Senatorial District
has advised Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara State to stop chasing wild goose and focus on delivering his mandate to the people of the state.
The Senator said the ongoing fight against insurgency and banditry should be supported wholeheartedly by the Gov to ensure full success in the onslaught operations against bandits embarked upon by the Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration, as it gives the people and the governments of Zamfara and other states in the region a breath of the mayhem being mated on them and their resources for decade.
He said there was no way any government would bring progress and development without peace and hermony amongst the people.
"The primary responsibility of Gov Dauda Lawal should be securing the lives and property of the people of Zamfara and there is no better time to achieve this than now when the Federal Government is determined and committed to ensuring the eradication of all forns of terrorism and other forms of criminality in the the state and the region.
"The frequent attacks on the personality of His Excellency, the Minister of State for Defence Bello Matawalle, is unnecessary and unjustifiable, particularly considering the huge success the coordination of the minister realised in the ongoing special operations by the Nigerian military under the leadership of the Chief of Defence Staff Gen Christopher Musa."
Sahabi Ya'u Kaura further appeals to all aggrieved people of the state, particularly the political class, to come together to fight a common goal, which should be securing and developing the state in all its ramifications.
He said Zamfara state was left behind due to the unnecessary squabble between and amongst the political class.
"Let us have the fear of Allah in our minds and remember that God has given us the power, responsibility, opportunity, and the trust to provide true and quality leadership to our people, irrespective of political lineage. " Sen. Ya'u said.
