ZAMFARA FEDERAL LAWMAKER AMADU MAI PALACE ON EFCC NET.

 



The candidate for the Federal House of Reps for Gusau and Tsafe under the Platform of YPP Imrana Muhammad Tsafe has confirmed the arrest of Hon. Kabiru Amadu Mai Palace the member representing Gusau/Tsafe constituency by the operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC.



The politician who stated this during a TV show programme on Thunder Blowers a Zamfara based online news platform said the lawmaker who has been on the rum for over six months has finally been arrested by the Operatives of EFCC in Kaduna.


Kabiru Amadu Mai Palace has allegedly been suspended by the house of representatives for close to half a year now due to allegation of corruption.


It was alleged that Mai Palace has collected money in the name of kick back running into hundreds of millions from contractors for fake job that never existed.


It was reported EFCC has been spying to get him arrested for long but he hides in between Abuja and neighboring republic of Togo.


“The lawmaker and all his legislative aides have been suspended for over six months now and people of his constituency had lost their right to representation hence their elected lawmaker has been suspended due to acts considered unethical” a source added.


Another source explained that the EFCC operatives had made attempt to get him arrested when he visited Gusau last two weeks and followed him up to Sokoto Court of Appeal thinking he will attend the last proceedings held in respect of the gubernatorial primaries conducted by his party the PDP.


He is to refund a total of close to a billion naira he collected from different contractors in the name of securing them a contract at the National Assembly.


It is not clear whether the lawmaker is still at EFCC custody in Abuja or he has been jacked up to Abuja facilities for commencement of the investigation.


“Remember he had allegedly duped his gubernatorial candidate Dauda Lawal Dare money worth N100M naira and no one can tell if he is among those that made a case for the lawmaker at the EFCC”.
