Self defense:governor Matawalle in the right direction as NSA support the move.

 

When Zamfara State governor Bello Matawalle urge his people to prepare and acquire legitimate weapons for self_ defense, Nigerians and indeed the international community vehemently opposed the move describing it as fighting fire with fire.

Aggravated by the graphic videos released by the BBC Africa eye, the Daily trust, the abductors of the Abuja Kaduna Train attack victims and the threat by the both Senate and the House of representatives to serve president Muhammad Buhari with impeachment notice, the truth was embraced by the Nigeria's National security adviser Retired Major General Monguno.

The affirmation of governor Matawalle urge by the National Security adviser was a surprise of the highest order to many Nigerians and indeed the international community. This is because of the response from the National security adviser and other top National security commander's giving impetus to the row created by the governor's move.

Governor Matawalle should therefore be consider as the hero of the year for his foresight , ability, commitment and determination to give his people the necessary attention and protection. The attack by Gun men on the Brigade of Guards the Army unit saddled with the responsibility of giving protection to the president is in deed a shock of the highest order and National embracement which must be condemned by all and sundry. In the event where bandits and Gun men unleash such mayhem and even have the audacity to attack Military and other security formations un challenge the common Man should be given the opportunity to defend himself as the Nation security architecture failed woefully
