Aggrieved by the consensus of the ruling All Progressives Congress APC during the just concluded National Convention, former governor Yari and his boys including Sen Kabiru Marafa have approached the opposition PDP for marger/ alliance to defeat the ruling APC.
The former Gov who is currently into hiding for fear of arrest by the nation’s anti – corruption agencies gave the directive for the commencement of the negotiations for the alliance with the aggrieved members of his camp, is allegedly out of the country.
A reliable source who pleaded anonymity confirmed to this news medium that the former governor is in his maggi manufacturing industry premises in Niamey Niger, told the negotiation team from his camp not to accept anything less than 70 percent of the positions and appointments.
The PDP officials on the other hand vowed not to give such percentage to Yari, saying they can accept giving Yari the positions of Deputy Governor and 2 senators.
The meeting which is the first since the fall out of Yari with APC, was held in Kaduna but ended in a deadlock.
The source also revealed tha two of the stakeholders at the meeting, Mohammed Bello Musa Ataka, who represented was Abubakar Nakwada at the meeting and Abdullahi Abdulkareem Tsafe who was at the meeting on behalf of the former governor Yari exchanged blows, if not for the intervention of an elder stakeholder at the meeting.
