Matawalle sponsors 100 students studying in Zaria, Abuja back to Zamfara for Sallah

Zamfara state governor, Dr Bello Mohammed Matawalle has sponsored the transportation of 100 Zamfara state indigenes schooling in Zaria Academy and Key Science in Abuja back to Zamfara state for their Sallah holidays.
Matawalle speaking through the Director General Media, Public Enlightenment and Communication, Alhaji Yusuf Idris Gusau, said the gesture was parts of efforts to safeguard students in and outside state to encouraged enrolment into schools.
The governor described the students as jewels who needed special protection hence his gesture of sponsoring the transportation of the students from their schools located outside the state.

Matawalle said his administration is deeply committed to ensuring that school enrolment increase significantly despite the attempts by bandits and other unscrupulous individuals who are bent on destroying the education sector in the state and northern region.


“The sponsoring of the transportation of the students back to Zamfara to celebrate Sallah is done to give the students and their parents hope that my administration is concern about the safety of the people of the state regardless of age or economic status,” he said.

The governor assured the students and the people of the state of his determination to continue to provide conducive environment for effective learning in the state and also provide needed support for the students outside the state.

The 53 students from Key Science, Abuja have just arrived while those at Zaria Academy have been conveyed back to the state.

The students were transported back from Zaria and Abuja amidst tight security provided by joint task force comprising of army and police to avoid any unforseen circumstance while on transit.
